Join Council

The best way to predict the future is to create it.

Council are a group of owners volunteering to serve all owners by taking responsibility for the maintenance of the building and the services we all enjoy.

Councillors are voted onto Council right after the Annual General Meeting to serve a 1 year term.

General Responsibilities

Councillors need to engage in frequent email communications, as they deliberate on many minor issues via email.  There are four official meetings per year, and a variable number of unofficial meetings, dependent on the nature and volume of issues there are to be addressed. This translates to approximately 0.5 - 2 hrs / week, or roughly 4 - 6 hrs per month.

Councillors are expected to:

  • respond to Council messages within 2 business days OR give advance notice of being unavailable to do so (also indicating the period of time that they will out of communication)

  • weigh in on every Council communication, even if it is to indicate they don’t have the background to comment.

  • attend all official Council meetings (roughly quarterly)

  • attend most unofficial Council meetings

  • read and form opinions on proposals, invoices, complaints and requests
